Background
As part of our ongoing work with sports and games manufacturer Jaques of London, BRANDAMMO were recently asked to plan, design and implement on online marketing campaign to drive traffic and encourage sales in both the UK and US during the run-up to Christmas 2008.

The brief
Following the UK and US launch of JaquesLondon.com developed by BRANDAMMO Jaques wanted to start an online marketing campaign that would help drive traffic and increase online sales. A further aim of the campaign was to help raise the brand’s profile in the US where they (at this time) are still relatively unknown.

Deliverables
In addition to more general aspects of online marketing and SEO, BRANDAMMO designed developed and distributed a series of HTML emails linking through to specifically designed Flash features on the website.

Outcome
Since starting the campaign, traffic to JaquesLondon.com has trebled and sales for the period leading up to Christmas have exceeded all expectations.

Concept Creation
Having worked with Jaques for several years, promoting Jaques through continuous development both on and offline, our team now know Jaques very well – which was essential for introducing new markets to the brand. Acting as both a brand and product/sales communication we knew that whilst products from the current range needed to be prevalent and clearly displayed there was also a need to promote the brand through the use of historical imagery and vintage design elements. A further requirement would be to allow recipients of all levels of web/computer literacy to access the information contained within the email and quickly link through to relevant further information on the website.

Design Development
Developing our offline (print) approach to Jaques brand design our Surrey web design and marketing teams joined forces to design and develop an HTML email providing recipients with direct links through to the website where they can buy online. The use of vintage style textures and design elements juxtaposed with high quality re-touched product imagery enabled both the historical nature of the brand and the 2008 product range to be shown side-by-side. The use of seasonal design elements was replicated in Flash movies on the website for consistency and added visual appeal upon click through.
